An infant’s death has prompted the recall of nearly 1.6 million cribs made between 1995 and 2005. The recall includes 985,000 Delta Enterprise cribs manufactured in Taiwan or Indonesia between 1995 and 2005 as well as 600,000 Delta drop-side cribs that were made in China before 2006.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says an eight-month-old baby “became entrapped and suffocated” when the drop side of the crib detached in a reassembled crib where the safety pegs were not installed.” Other children were trapped because of the defect, the agency says. Read more.
